Waukegan teachers strike headed for 3rd week

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- A teachers strike in north suburban Waukegan will keep students out of school again Monday as the labor dispute heads into a third week.

Teachers have been on strike since October 2, as contract negotiations have failed to reach a new deal.

Both sides have reached an agreement on most of the issues, and they are trying to find a compromise on pay raises.
