CHICAGO -- Jonathan came to Windy City LIVE to raise awareness about sickle cell disease, but we helped a wish come true by giving him the surprise of a lifetime.

Jonathan Lovett-Jones is a 14 year old boy who was diagnosed with sickle cell disease at six months old. The blood cell disorder causes him chronic pain, and certain episodes cause him to miss school.

Jonathan lives his life as any other kid the best he can. He wrote books as a kid that were self-published and used the money towards tuition, he started public speaking in hospitals at age 7 and spoke to Congress at 9. Jonathan is currently into writing and playing his own music. He plays the piano, guitar, drums and wants to be a hip hop artist.

His dream has always been to perform on Windy City LIVE and he even made a bet with his cousin that he will one day perform on live TV.
