NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Music artist Bobby Brown says he's setting the record straight in his new book about the wild ride of his life, especially his marriage to Whitney Houston.

You can meet him in Naperville Friday night.

The book is called "Every Little Step." Brown talks about going from the projects to fame. He opens up about the tragic death of Houston and then, the agonizing loss of their daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

You can meet Bobby Brown at Anderson's Bookshop, in downtown Naperville at 7 p.m.

Brown has always been rankled that people tend to think that he's the one who brought down Houston by introducing her to drugs. He challenges that in his new book.

In the book, he says Houston once smoked pot with their daughter Bobbi Kristina and her boyfriend, Nick Gordon. He also says he saw her get coked up just before their wedding.

And Brown says while he wasn't exactly the most faithful partner in the world, he alleges that Houston did her "share of cheating," too - with rapper Tupac Shakur.
