Broadway smash hit Disney's 'Newsies' back in Chicago

The smash Broadway musical, Disney's "Newsies," is back in Chicago for a limited run from July 28 - Aug. 7 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.

The show is inspired by the true story of the Newsboy Strike of 1899. Newsboy Kid Blink led a band of orphans and runaway newsies on a two-week strike against two of the biggest papers of the day - and won!

Chicagoan Aisha De Haas plays Medda Larkin, a saloon singer who offers her theater as a safe haven to the striking boys and helps with their fight for justice.
