'Cinderella' with a modern twist opens in Chicago at Cadillac Palace Theatre

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A new take on "Cinderella" opened Wednesday night in Chicago. But don't worry - some things haven't changed.

The evil step mother is still around, but Cinderella is a little more spirited and contemporary on her way to becoming a princess in this version.

The show won a Tony Award last year on Broadway.

You can see "Cinderella" at the Cadillac Palace Theatre through Jan. 4.
