Chicagoan stars in 'Lion King' in circle of life moment

The star of the 'Lion King' at Cadillac Theatre is a Chicago native.

CHICAGO -- South Side Chicago native Aaron Nelson stars as Simba in the Broadway production of "The Lion King."

Call it a circle of life moment! As a graduate of Columbia College, he once was an usher at the same exact theater in which he is performing at in Chicago- Cadillac Palace Theatre. After he went to see the "The Lion King" as a young boy with his mother, Nelson said he knew he wanted to play the role of Simba on Broadway.

The six-time Tony award winning musical runs through January 17th at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
