Mariachi band performs at National Museum of Mexican Art

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Music took center stage at Chicago's National Museum of Mexican Art on Thursday night.

There was a performance by Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez.

The event benefits the Mariachi Heritage Foundation's music programs in Chicago Public Schools.
