Readers meet their favorite authors at BookCon

CHICAGO (WLS) -- For the first time, BookCon is coming to Chicago! The one-of-a-kind experience where storytelling and pop-culture collide arrives at McCormick Place on May 14, 2016. The consumer book event allows readers to meet with some of their favorite authors and Hollywood talent.

BookCon is designed to appeal to the modern-day book lover with an appreciation for broader pop cultur. BookCon will feature a show floor with the world's most influential publishers including ABRAMS, Chronicle Books, Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan Publishers, Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Simon & Schuster and many more. In addition to over 250 Exhibitors, the Show Floor will house the Downtown Stage, home to Q&As, trivia and illustrator events. The Head of BookCon and BEA, Lance Fensterman, and the author of An Ember in the Ashes, Sabaa Tahir, joined ABC 7 live from the beginning of BookCon to highlight all the fun.
