Boo! at the Zoo Back at Brookfield Zoo
There?s some not-so-scary Halloween fun coming to the Brookfield Zoo.

BROOKFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- There's some not-so-scary Halloween fun coming to the Brookfield Zoo . The Boo! at the Zoo is back on October 22-23 and October 29-30, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The family fun is free with zoo admission.

Little ones in costumes can trick-or-treat at six stations for a Ferrara candy treat. Zoo-goers can also get into the Halloween spirit by learning about creepy critters like scorpions, snakes, bats, and spiders. Special Zoo Chats led by animal care staff will highlight interesting facts about these animals and more.

Princesses, superheroes, villains, and other costumed guests of all ages can join in the parade, which kicks off at 1:00 p.m. by the North Mall and goes around Roosevelt Fountain before concluding on the West Mall. Following the parade, guests can show off their Halloween attire in a costume contest beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Lead Keeper at the Brookfield Zoo, Andy Schertz, joined ABC 7 live from the zoo to show some of the stars of the Boo! in the Zoo fun.
