High school sweethearts marry
A couple has vowed to spend the rest of their lives together, after being separated for 63 years

LAKE CITY, Ark. -- A pair of high school sweethearts finally tied the knot after spending the last 63 years apart.

Marcella and Johnny dated when they were in high school, but then parted ways and lived separate lives.

Johnny was married to his first wife for 59 years. The couple had two daughters and two sons together, but his wife recently passed away.

As for Marcella, she was married for 39 years and had three daughters, but her first husband also recently passed.

Now decades later, the two met again and rekindled the same love they had in high school.

"I knew who Johnny Vick was way before I ever met him, so I'm not really surprised that they have ended up back together, because they apparently had a great connection back then when they were young," Marcella's oldest daughter, Sheila McCall, told ABC affiliate KAIT.

"He was so happy, you could hear it in his voice when he told me 'I have a date'," Johnny's daughter Connie Caldwell said. "He's been like a young teenage boy out sharing his adventures with his sweetheart."

The couple said their families are supportive of them.
