Families are invited to La Grange on Saturday, Dec. 5 for the annual Hometown Holiday celebration.

LA GRANGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Families are invited to La Grange on Saturday, Dec. 5 for the annual Hometown Holiday celebration.

The free event allows families to participate in several holiday-themed activities, while shopping in the village's many local shops. Some of the activities include an all-village sing-a-long, petting zoo, pony rides, open houses, and even a visit from Santa Claus!

ABC7 joined the La Grange Business Association live from all the fun.

10 a.m.: Shopping in the Central Business District

3 p.m.: Free matinee of "Elf" at La Grange Theatre

4 p.m.: Holiday concert by Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra at 100 W. Cossitt

4:45 p.m.: All Village Sing with LTHS Madrigal Choir

5 p.m.: Free Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Kiddie Trai and Trolley Rides throughout La Grange

5-9 p.m.: Festive Merchant Open Houses

5:30 p.m.: Santa arrives to light giant Christmas tree

6-8 p.m.: Visits with Santa at Village Hall
