Mom throws $150,000+ fashion show for 2-year-old's birthday

Some parents will spend a lot of money on their children's 16th or 21st birthday parties. But one mom from China went all out on her daughter's second birthday, spending $150,000+ on an elaborate fashion show party.

The mother and daughter pair, seen above, participated in a fashioned show in the Taiyuan, Shanxi province of China, according to Getty. All of the ensembles in the show were from renowned international fashion brands like Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, and Prada among others.

According to ifeng, the mother, who requested to be remain unnamed, spent nearly 1 million yuan on the celebration, close to $160,000. The T stage used for the fashion show was created by parents at a restaurant borrowed from a friend.
