Winning Powerball ticket worth $1M sold in Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- If you bought a Powerball ticket in Chicago this weekend, you may have won $1 million.

Illinois Lottery officials said a winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven store at 1350 S. Halsted.

The ticket matched the first five numbers - 05 - 25 - 26 - 44 - 66 - (09) to win $1 million in the May 7th drawing.

There were two winners of $1 million in Illinois in Saturday night's drawing, lottery officials said. Both $1 million winning tickets were Quick Picks, and both were purchased at 7-Eleven stores. The other $1 million winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 400 West 22nd Street in Lombard.

Lottery officials said Saturday's $415,000,000 jackpot was the 7th largest Powerball jackpot and 9th largest jackpot of any lottery game in North American history.
