Bayless sells Frontera Foods

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago celebrity chef Rick Bayless has sold Frontera Foods, his Mexican food company.

Frontera Foods has been purchased by food packaging giant ConAgra Foods.

Bayless' restaurants, which include Topolobampo, Frontera Grill and XOCO, are not part of the ConAgra deal.

ConAgra plans to expand the Frontera food line.

The Red Fork and Salpica grocery brands were also purchased under the agreement.
