Bring your NFL tailgate indoors

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Football season is in full swing and that means many fans are celebrating each week with tailgates. The NFL wants to celebrate fans, and help those who can't attend the games, by offering "homegating" solutions. By bringing your football parties indoors, fans can get a variety of new options from their favorite team. The NFL is featuring some new homegating products at the Chicago Gourmet on September 24-25, 2016.

Angie Mar, Executive Chef & NFL Homegating "Burger Maestro" joined ABC 7 to show off her new Chicago-inspired burger, and some of the new ways fans can tailgate.

Name of dish: Chicago Classic

Ingredients:

4 all beef patties

8 pickles, sliced

1 beefsteak tomato

Celery salt

Yellow mustard

4 slices American cheese

Preparation:

Grill patties to desired temperature. Adorn the beef patties with tomatoes, mustard, pickles, American cheese and season with celery salt.
