Just days after Thanksgiving comes another important day, Giving Tuesday.

Just days after Thanksgiving comes another important day, Giving Tuesday.

It is on December 2, 2014, and it reminds us to support causes that help community members in need. On our ABC 7 Eyewitness News Sunday Morning, we highlighted Culinary Care (www.culinarycare.org/donate). While we are enjoying holiday meals right now, this organization is working year-round to make sure people fighting cancer are not going hungry. Culinary Care is a non-profit organization that delivers complimentary, restaurant-prepared meals to cancer patients and their families. One of its restaurant partners is LYFE Kitchen (www.LYFEKitchen.com).

Courtney White, founder and president of Culinary Care (www.culinarycare.org/donate), came into our ABC 7 Eyewitness News studio to share how you can support the organization on #GivingTuesday. With her was Nathan Cooper, co-founder and partner of L3 Hospitality Group of LYFE Kitchen, LLC, who showed us how to make a healthy meal.

Nathan Cooper's Recipes:

1. Quinoa Crunch Bowl Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Cups Quinoa Tabbouleh

3/4 Cup Veggie Mix (equal parts broccoli, tomato, cucumber)

4 Slices Avocado

1/4 Cup Radish

3/4 Cup Edamame Hummus

1/2 Cup Arugula

1/2 fl oz Chipotle Vinaigrette

1/2 fl oz Fireman's Hot Sauce

Preparation:

Assemble all.

2. Crispy Gardein Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Vegan Oatmeal Bun with Garlic Spread

1 Gardein Scallopini Piece

1 Leaf Romaine

2 Slices Tomato

1/3 Cup Shishito Relish

1 Slice Red Onion

3/4 oz spicy mayo

Preparation:

Assemble all.
