BANNOCKBURN, Ill. (WLS) -- Just because you start a new diet to slim down during the summer, doesn't mean it has to taste bland.

Indian food is a healthy option no many dieters think about when choosing their meals.

Marigold Maison is a new upscale restaurant in Bannockburn, Ill. Using fresh, organic ingredients, chefs prepare meals with hand-crafted spices.

Chefs Sunil Kumar and Jose Castro visited the ABC7 kitchen to show how easy healthy meals can be to prepare.

RECIPES

Grilled Lamb Chops

Ingredients:

Lamb chops, 1-inch thick, 5 lb.

Fresh garlic, 1 oz.

Fresh ginger, 1 oz.

Plain yogurt, 1 cup

Fresh mint, 1 oz.

Fresh cilantro, 1 oz.

Fresh lemon juice, 1/4 cup

Kosher salt, 1.5 tbsp.

Turmeric powder, 1 tbsp.

Paprika powder, 1 tbsp.

Garma Masala, 1 tbsp.

Preparation:

1. Place yogurt, ginger, mint, cilantro and lemon juice in grinder and make smooth paste

2. Place all the lamb chops in large bowl. Add all the spice and paste mixture in bowl

3. Mix to gather with hands, make sure all lamb chops are coated with marinade

4. Cover the bowl and keep in refrigerator few hours or overnight. Remove the chops from the refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

5. Pre heat the grill to 350 degrees

6. Clean the grill with oil

7. Place the lamb chops on the grill 5-7 minutes each side, until well browned.

8. Brush both sides of chops with olive oil, serve chops with salad and lemon
