Nearly 1,300 people help make Japan's longest tuna roll
Nearly 1,300 people in Japan helped create the country's largest tuna roll during an event at a local fish market on Sunday.

Hopefully residents of one city in Japan woke up with an appetite Monday morning.

They now hold the distinction of creating the country's longest tuna roll.

The city of Kesennuma hosted the event at a local fish market on Sunday.

Almost 1,300 people, including tourists, helped make the giant sushi roll.

They used 187 pounds of tuna, 1,200 pounds of rice and 1,700 sheets of seaweed to make the creation that stretches 1,000-feet long.
