M&Ms products recalled due to mislabeling of allergens

Mars Chocolate is issuing a voluntary recall of M&Ms products due to mislabeling of allergens.

Mars is recalling its M&MS brand 3.40 oz. "theater box" with UPC #40000294764, because the boxes may contain products containing peanut butter without listing the ingredients. The inside package is correctly labeled with allergy information.

The M&Ms Brand Milk Chocolate Theater Box comes in a 3.40 oz brown, 3 inch x 6.5 inch cardboard box stamped on the right-hand side panel with the lot number and best before date.

The lot codes were shipped to warehouses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as over 30 other states.

Customers who bought a recalled item can return the product to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
