PINOLE, Calif. -- A San Francisco-area man unwrapped more than he expected when he ordered a fast food burrito Thursday morning.

He said he found a four-inch blade folded inside the breakfast meal.

Martin Martinez and his wife found it just before he took a bite out of the burrito he bought at a Carl's Jr. restaurant in Pinole, Calif.

"That blade was coming out of my first bite and I give it to her, and then she opened it, and it was huge. It was about this big," said Martin Martinez.

Even more shocking for Martinez was the response he said he got from the Carl's Jr. employees.

They said it likely came from a broken machine, and that they suspected something like that might happen because it had not been fixed.

A spokesperson for the Carl's Jr. franchise tells ABC7 News the restaurant is looking into the matter.
