Taste of Chicago draws 1.1 million visitors, loses $170K in 2014

The city says the Taste of Chicago attracted 1.1 million visitors this past summer even though it was rained out on what's usually its biggest day, Saturday.

The city says the Taste of Chicago attracted 1.1 million visitors this past summer even though it was rained out on what's usually its biggest day, Saturday.

That was the first time in history the Taste closed.

The 34th annual festival lost almost $170,000 after making a profit last year.
