UIC Hospital nurses will not strike

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Illinois Nurses Association will not strike after reaching a tentative contract agreement with the University of Illinois Hospital Monday night.

The two groups have been negotiating for more than five months. According to a press release from the INA, the negotiating committee unanimously recommended ratification of the tentative agreement.

The planned strike had been scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21.
