Annual Dawn of the Dunes Marathon returns to Gary

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- The second annual Dawn of the Dunes Marathon returned to Gary Sunday.

The marathon, which began at 8 a.m. Sunday, started near Lake Michigan and winds through the beachfront neighborhood in Miller, Ind.

The brunch after the race is open to the public.
