Gary Air Show returns after 2 year absence

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- The Gary Air Show will once again take to the skies this weekend for the first time in two years.

Some fans got a sneak preview Friday at the official opening of a new runway at the Gary-Chicago Airport.

The show fell victim to federal budget cuts in 2013 and was rained out last year.

The mid-air spectacle will return this weekend to the skies over Marquette Park.
