XS Tennis under construction in Washington Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A multi-million dollar tennis center on Chicago's South Side will give Chicago Public Schools kids a chance to succeed, Mayor Rahm Emanuel said.

Officials broke ground Monday on the XS Tennis Village in Washington Park. It will give kids a positive after school activity on the South Side.

The village also includes a fitness center and running track. It should be finished next spring.
