ABC7 family helps build community garden in Skinner Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A park on Chicago's Near West Side is getting a makeover with some help from the ABC7 family.

Volunteers are building a gardening space at Skinner Park at Throop and Adams, where people of all ages will be able to contribute to a community garden. They will be able to learn about growing fruits, vegetables and other plants in a learning space.

ABC7's parent company, the Walt Disney Company, and the National Recreation and Parks Association helped make the community garden space happen.
