CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago cop accused of using excessive force by punching and kicking a man, then lying about it, has been indicted on federal charges.

The allegations against Aldo Brown play out on surveillance video. Prosecutors say Brown punched and kicked Jecque Howard at the convenience store where he worked in September 2012. Howard's attorney says he doesn't know why.
