The husband of a murdered trainer from Texas is speaking out more than a year after her death.

MIDLOTHIAN, Texas -- The husband of a Texas fitness instructor and mother of three who was found dead inside a church said he feels "powerless" when it comes to finding his wife's killer.

Brandon Bevers released a statement to ABC News about the death of his wife, Missy, saying, "I'm not giving up in faith, just a reality where I have spent many months driving myself crazy with this. I'm powerless in the big picture here to believe I have any ability to solve this. My biggest priority now is my daughters' welfare and to do whatever I can to help us move past the pain."

Missy Bevers, 45, was found murdered last April inside the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, a small community outside of Dallas.

Motion-activated cameras captured a person with a distinct walk who was dressed in what appears to be police tactical gear. The person was never identified.

Early in the investigation, police search warrants suggested financial and marital struggles between Bevers and her husband. The warrants also detailed a message she received online and noted "flirtatious and familiar" communications she allegedly had with another person of interest. However, police ruled out that person as a suspect.

Meanwhile, Bevers' husband said he's holding out hope that her killer will be caught.

"It's not realistic for me to believe I can make a difference given the amount of time that has passed. My faith is in the Almighty, and the investigators who are working- to this day- to provide justice and closure," Brandon Bevers said.
