CHICAGO (WLS) -- All eastbound lanes of Interstate-80 have reopened at Interstate-57 after one person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in south suburban Country Club Hills.

A Dodge sedan was rear-ended by a Toyota SUV near Kedzie Avenue, causing a chain reaction crash that killed one person. The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

All eastbound lanes of I-80 are closed east of I-57 and will remain closed until further notice.

Traffic is being diverted onto I-57 northbound and southbound. Westbound traffic on I-80 is backed up all the way to I-65 in Indiana.

The driver of the Dodge was killed, and two other drivers were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver and a passenger in another car were not hurt.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
