Alden Loury, of the Better Government Association, talked about police transparency. Amid mounting concerns about police misconduct, the BGA has created the Police Accountability Portal, a database which includes BGA-related news stories, opinion pieces, videos, lawsuits and other court records relating to law enforcement - including but not limited to alleged police and prosecutorial misconduct.

The portal is part of the BGA's mission to ensure accountability and transparency among police officers, prosecutors and other law enforcement professionals in the Chicago area and across Illinois.

The database is a work in progress, with content regularly added, and some material dating back more than five years, which marked the start of BGA's modern era of award-winning investigative journalism, as well as policy initiatives, civic engagement and watchdog-oriented litigation.
