Body of 4th Illinois man recovered from Wisconsin lake

Rescue crews recovered a canoe from icy Lake Beulah near East Troy, Wis., on January 3, 2016.

Search crews recovered a fourth body from Lake Beulah in southern Wisconsin on Friday.

Patrick Wetzel and three other Illinois men, ages 20-23, died after falling out of a canoe into the frigid lake last weekend. All four men attended New Trier High School in north suburban Winnetka.

The group had been staying at a lake house in East Troy, Wis., approximately 90 miles from Chicago. Early Sunday morning, their friends noticed the four men were gone and later spotted an overturned canoe on the water.

Dive teams searched the lake and recovered the bodies of Lanny Patrick Sack and Christopher J. McQuillen. On Monday, the body of a third victim was pulled from the lake. He was identified Tuesday as Mori Weinstein, 21, Walworth County authorities said.

Family and friends gathered to say goodbye to McQuillen, 21, on Friday. His funeral was held at Sacred Heart Church in Winnetka.

Authorities didn't find any life jackets in the water. They also said it appears alcohol was a factor in their deaths.
