CHICAGO (WLS) --Members of the Guardian Angels are making their presence known in the city's South Side in search of three men suspected in a robbery on a CTA Red Line platform.
The angels are handing out fliers with information about the robbery, which happened around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 26 at the Garfield Red Line station.
The CTA has released surveillance images of the suspects. Police say the three men between the ages of 23 and 30 approached a man waiting for a train, demanding his wallet, watch and cellphone.
The Guardian Angels are asking for any tips leading to an arrest. They say they're confident they will get some solid information.
"There's a lot of good people in the neighborhoods, but they don't want to be seen cooperating - police coming in and out of their apartment or house. So they feel more comfortable calling the Guardian Angels anonymously. We don't need their information; we need the individuals wanted in connection with this robbery, we need their information," said Miguel Fuentes, Guardian Angels.
