City Council to vote on inspector general

Chicago City Council members will vote Wednesday to decide if they'll give Inspector General Joseph Ferguson the power to investigate aldermen.

If approved, Ferguson could look into any accusations of fraud or waste from City Council.

The council hasn't had a watchdog since November, after the legislative inspector general's term ended.
