Man bites other man's ear on CTA platform

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man had the top of his ear bitten off during an altercation Friday evening with another man on the platform of the CTA Orange Line, police said.

The incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. at the Western stop at 4900 S. Western Avenue on the city's Southwest Side.

The man was transported to Holy Cross Hospital.

No one is in custody, police said.
