Cubs Convention returns to Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Cubs Convention is always an optimistic affair - but this year, with the team now a certified World Series contender, fans can hardly contain themselves.

New center fielder Jason Hayward led off the player introductions at the Sheraton ballroom Friday night. He's one of the marquis additions to a young team that played its way into the National League Championship Series just a few months ago.

The 31st annual Cubs Convention continues Saturday and runs through Sunday afternoon. It is sold out.
