Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a car wash in Libertyville over the weekend.

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a car wash in the northern suburbs over the weekend.

Polices said a man forced his way into the Car Spa in the 500-block of Peterson Road in Libertyville as an employee was unlocking the doors to start the day around 7 a.m. Saturday. The man implied he had a weapon and took $850 in cash before fleeing on foot.

The employee was not injured. No other employees or customers were present at the time.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build, bald or with a shaved head, standing between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8, police said. He was seen wearing a black jacket with "POLO" written on it with a black hood over his head.
