Car split in two in Southwest Side crash
A car crashed into a pole and split in two on Chicago's Southwest Side.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A car crashed into a pole and split in two on Chicago's Southwest Side.

Emergency crews were on the scene near West 23rd Street and South Kedzie Avenue in the city's Little Village neighborhood around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The Chicago Fire Department said no one was taken to the hospital as a result of the crash. Fire officials said there was a minor gas leak as a result of the crash.

Investigators closed Kedzie between West 24th Street and Cermak Road to look into what happened.
