A woman was shot near Navy Pier while riding in a car early Sunday morning, Chicago police say.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was shot near Navy Pier while riding in a car early Sunday morning, Chicago police say.

She was listed in stable condition Sunday night.

The 20-year-old victim told police she was in the front seat of a car in the 500-block of East Grand around 12:30 a.m. when someone pulled up behind the vehicle and opened fire. She was wounded in her left calf and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Police say the shooting took place while both cars were moving.

Police said the shooting occurred after the offender of offenders' vehicle got off Lake Shore Drive, but have not said how many people were in the car or how many shooters may have been involved. No arrests have been made and no information on the shooter or shooters have been released. Police say they do not know if it was a targeted shooter or if the victim knew the shooters.

No one else was injured.
