Dr. Richardson

Dr. Fred Richardson is that rare breed of physicians who not only takes his time to talk with his patients, but also makes house calls! We joined Dr Richardson, an Englewood native, on exams in his office and on a house call to a 96-year-old woman on the West Side. And if seeing patients six days a week and being on call 24/7 isn't enough, Dr. Richardson makes it his business to mentor African American medical students, helping guide them through the difficult parts of becoming a doctor.
