Missing grandmother, baby found safe
A grandmother and her 1-year-old granddaughter missing from Chicago's West Side were found safe.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A grandmother and her 1-year-old granddaughter who were reported missing from Chicago's East Garfield Park neighborhood are back home with their family.

Christine Grant, 49, took her granddaughter, Aubriel Williams, from a home in the 3200-block of West Walnut Street in the city's East Garfield Park neighborhood, police said. They were last seen near West Fulton Street and North Sacramento Boulevard around 8 a.m. Monday.

Police said Grant suffers from schizophrenia.

Around 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, Area North detectives confirmed Grant and Williams were found safe and reunited with their family.
