CHICAGO (WLS) -- Calling all overdue library books!

Feb. 4 is the start of an amnesty period at the Chicago Public Library for fines until Feb. 18.

All fines will be waived if overdue materials are returned by the 18th.

The last amnesty program was in 2012 when the Chicago Public Library received more than 100,000 overdue items valued at about $2 million.
