AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- A Streator woman has been charged with drunken driving Sunday after a vehicle crash in suburban Aurora that killed her male passenger, police said.

Stephanie Figueroa, 27, was driving a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta at about 2 a.m. when she apparently lost control and went off the roadway and hit a residence in the 500 block of North Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora, police said.

Figueroa's passenger, a 33-year man, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly afterward.

An autopsy is pending at the Kane County Coroner's office. His identification was not immediately released Sunday.

Figueroa was treated for her injuries at a hospital and released.

Police said Figueroa may face additional charges pending the conclusion of an investigation.
