Car burglar steals 3 valuable horns

A Chicago musician is asking for help in finding his stolen instruments.

The theft took place earlier this month in the 1700-block of North Milwaukee Avenue.

Two weeks ago, Ryan Berndt was taking an early morning yoga class in Bucktown when someone smashed the window of his car, taking two trumpets and a rare flugelhorn.

He had to use loaners for recordings with his quintet in an annual competition, and he says that hurt his performance.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of the burglary.

Berndt has dropped off flyers at pawn shops across the city hoping they turn up.
