VERNON HILLS, Ill. (WLS) -- Vernon Hills High School went into lockdown for a period Tuesday following a technological glitch, officials say.

A spokesperson for School District 128 says the glitch triggered the building to go into lockdown mode. Police were notified and the lockdown was confirmed to be a false alarm.

The lockdown has been lifted and school operations are normal.
