BJ The Chicago Kid returns home to Chicago in preparation of his major label debut album, "In My Mind." He stopped by Windy City Live to play the track, "Woman's World." BJ The Chicago Kid grew up on the Southside of Chicago as the child of church choir directors. He began his career when he moved to Los Angeles to become a backup singer for Mary Mary. Over his career, he has worked with Stevie Wonder, Usher, Jill Scott, and Kendrick Lamar. Last year he was nominated for a Grammy for co-writing the Compton Soundtrack with Dr. Dre. BJ is now ready to release his own album, featuring music and lyrics that are very meaningful to his upbringing, hometown of Chicago, and lessons that he's been taught in the music industry. "In My Mind" is available on Friday 2/19 nationwide.
You can meet BJ The Chicago Kid and pick up his new album at a Meet and Greet at Leaders 1354 from 4-6PM on Saturday 2/20.
