It's an especially happy Friday for more than a million Walmart workers across the country.

They're getting a pay raise starting Friday. The company is raising its minimum wage from $9 to $10 an hour.

The pay bump affects the majority of its 1.4 million workers.

Walmart says the pay raises will cost the company an extra $1.5 billion this year.
