CHICAGO (WLS) -- Restaurants around Chicago are getting their best chicken wing recipes together for the 17th annual Chicago's Best WingFest.
The sold-out event happens Feb. 21 from 1-5 p.m. at the Bailey Auditorium. Guests will get to taste a nearly endless supply of wings from 20 area restaurants. Top prizes go to restaurants in the following categories: Mild, Hot, BBQ, and Exotic. There is even a competitive wing eating contest.
WingFest 2016 benefits Chicago Neighbors United, a community-based organization providing educational scholarships to inner-city youth. To date, WingFest has raised over $150,000 for various charities.
ABC 7 joined Chef Chris Douglas, from Mr. Brown's Lounge, and Darlena Williams-Burnett, the President of Chicago Neighbors United, live from the Bailey Auditorium as they prepared for WingFest.
