CHICAGO --One of, if not the, most iconic person in Chicago Theatre is the Artistic Director of the Goodman Theatre - Robert Falls.
For 30 years, he has been at the helm, taking classic plays and giving them a contemporary twist, plus nurturing new and unknown talent at the Goodman. He has won a Tony Award, multiple Jeff Awards and was recently inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame, all while keeping his roots right here in Chicago.
Born in downstate Ashland, Ill., he was raised in Lombard, and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Even though he has been lured to the coasts, he has always kept his roots in Chicago.
He is definitely a Chicagoan You Need to Know, if you don't already! He's here to talk about his career, and his latest 5 1/2 hour production, "2666."
