Mike Ditka slams Barack Obama as leader

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mike Ditka ripped President Barack Obama, calling him the worst president we've ever had.

The former Chicago Bears coach made the comments Thursday in New York City during WABC's radio show, "The Bernie and Sid Show."

"Barack Obama is a fine man. I mean he's pleasant. He would be great to play golf with. He's not a leader. This country needs leadership. It needs direction. It needs someone who steps up front. We need someone like Ronald Reagan. Everyone once in a while, you're going to get punched in the chops, but you keep going forward. That's all there is to it," Ditka said.

Back in 2004, Ditka nearly ran against President Obama in the U.S. Senate race after Republican candidate Jack Ryan dropped out of the race.
