Trinity Irish Dancers perform for St. Patrick's Day around Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- St. Patrick's Day celebrations around Chicago are in full swing. To celebrate, the Trinity Irish Dancers are performing more than 260 shows at parades, parties, and festivals in the city and suburbs.

The Trinity Irish Dancers studios are located in Elmhurst, Ill. The studio is offering a "First Timers" spring eight-Week introductory course for brand new dancers aged 3 -10-years-old.

The Trinity Irish Dancers began 34 years ago with just a dozen students practicing in a church basement. It's now one of the largest and most recognized Irish dance schools in the world. Trinity has earned 17 gold medals and over 35 titles at the World Irish Dance Championships.

Some of the Trinity Irish Dancers joined the ABC 7 Eyewitness News Weekend Morning show for a sneak preview of their upcoming performances.
